Administrative Assistant
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource department. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Greet and serve the community with excellent service and follow-through. Answer and direct departmental phone calls. Collects office mail from post office and distributes office mail accordingly. Schedule and organize appointments. Proofreads and type documents and correspondence according to quality standards. Manage all incoming and outgoing business correspondence accurately and timely. Manage all employee records with quality standards and record-keeping. Assist with processing required employment paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other employment related matters as assigned. Prepare human resource reports, such as HRIS generated, employee statistics, new hire, turnover, general tribal preference, and demographics reports and unemployment as assigned. Assist with I-9 and other employment related document processing. Prepare purchase orders for the human resource office. Assist with HRIS administration and designated workflows. Assist with employee orientation, as assigned. Monitor HR procedural/compliance tracking. Process invoices for payment according to applicable tribal policies. Maintain a positive response toward duties and responsibilities. Perform other HR related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Ability to operate general office equipment and software. Must be able to do basic business math and spreadsheet formulas. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to type a minimum of 45WPM. Ability to incorporate current technology in daily operations. Knowledge and work experience in use of Microsoft Office 365 and similar software in an HR office environment. Ability to respect and uphold confidential information. Knowledge and understanding with the roles and responsibilities of the HR function. Ability to encourage professional decision-making and responsibility in work environment. Establish and maintain high level of professional time management and work quality standards. Professional representation of STOI Human Resources and excellent customer service skills. Maintain a positive, solution-driven attitude and work ethic. Minimum Requirements: Must be able to display a positive work history High School Diploma with: a minimum of 5 years demonstrated administrative experience (details required on resume/application).
