CNC Setup Technician
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Technician to join our precision manufacturing team. This role is critical in ensuring CNC machines are properly prepared, configured, and optimized for production. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in interpreting blueprints, selecting tooling, calibrating machine parameters, and training machine operators to ensure efficient and accurate part production. Key Responsibilities: Blueprint and Documentation Interpretation Machine Setup First-Piece Inspection & Test Runs Operator Training Maintenance & Troubleshooting Quality & Safety Documentation & Recordkeeping Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred. Extensive experience in CNC machine setup and operation. Strong knowledge of tooling, machine calibration, and GD&T. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents. Familiarity with CNC programming languages is a plus. Solid understanding of machining processes, materials, and machine capabilities. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery and moderate noise. Regularly required to stand, walk, lift tools or materials, and use hands to handle parts or equipment. Visual acuity for reading prints and inspecting parts is essential.
