Job Description / Justification: •Looking for Senior Data Analyst to support integration of administrative data across multiple agencies at the city and state level within a master data management (MDM) platform. •This role will lead data governance strategies that define data standards, identify data merge and de-duplication rules, resolve data conflicts and maintain data documentation across participating agencies. •The ideal candidate should have experience gathering data requirements for MDM solutions, developing data governance frameworks and managing complex public sector data projects.

Mandatory Skills/Experience

Tasks: •8+ years of experience of data query and analysis using SQL, Python or R. •Direct experience working with government agencies to profile undocumented data sources. •Direct experience managing data or requirements for master data management (MDM) solutions involving the entity resolution of people, organizations or locations. •Understanding of key MDM concepts and use cases within the public sector. •Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices, including data quality, stewardship, and metadata management. •Business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder engagement. •Knowledge and experience managing large public sector data integration projects. •Familiarity with federal, state and local data privacy laws. •Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.

Desirable skills/experience: •Experience working in or with public sector organizations, especially in a data management capacity. •Experience working with data or systems within with New York City agencies. •Knowledge of enterprise data architecture concepts and integration patterns (e.g., APIs, ETL pipelines). •Hands-on experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica. •Understanding of Agile project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). •Exposure to data ethics frameworks and responsible data use practices. •CDMP or IIBA certification
