This position is responsible for performing parts receiving, office duties on the assigned shift: receiving parts, inventory control, data acquisition and entry, shipping and receiving, vendor contacts researching back orders and errors in shipments, record keeping requirements, operating company vehicles to pick up/deliver maintenance parts and supplies. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Personal computer experience is desirable. High degree of analytical abilities, good understanding of basic accounting principles, good verbal and written communication skills, basic understanding of information databases, able to work with minimum supervision, excellent problem solving and organizational skills. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic email programs. LICENSES/CERTIFICATES: Valid Drivers License Forklift Certification LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts. REASONING ABILITY: Shall be defined as the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand and walk through the plant. The employee is required to work on computers and operate motor vehicles. The employee must be able to lift 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee works primarily in an office environment inside the receiving building, where the noise level is usually quiet, conditions may vary with the weather outside. However, while performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to walk through the plant where he/she may occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
