Project Manager II
SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Project Manager II. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Job Summary: SEACORP's Platforms group is looking for a Program/Project Manager for the VA/OR Engineering Business Area. The candidate must have 5-10 years of experience to support execution of ongoing tasking. The Project Manager will work with Technical Leads to oversee all aspects of projects including setting of schedule and assigning personnel resources and responsibilities, as well as monitoring and summarizing progress of projects to internal and customer personnel. Job Responsibilities Include: Responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long range plans. Responsibility for formulating, guiding, and directing the technical approach. Defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Coordination and completion of projects with a focus on execution within time, budget and scope. Coordinates interdepartmental functions in order to minimize delays. Meets with program team members on regular basis to review program status and plan future actions. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management or an Engineering Discipline. Experience: Five (5) years of full-time professional experience in project management. Five (5) years specialized experience performing work in each of the following areas: Demonstrated experience managing projects of small size, focused scope and moderate complexity of mechanical, electrical and software efforts. Demonstrated experience of contract management with Dept. of the Navy and/or Dept. of Defense programs. Demonstrated experience performing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort (LOE), scope of work and associated requirements. Demonstrated experience completing projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline. Demonstrated experience managing a technical team, develop cost estimates and schedules, prepare status reports and prepare budget reports. Demonstrated experience supporting US Navy shipboard and shore-based installation programs in Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber Defense and Combat Systems and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C6ISR). Demonstrated experience in managing Sub-contractors (if subcontracting is proposed). Ideal Skills and Experience: Experience in underwater acoustics and/or Ocean Environment sensors and related science/engineering projects. Experience in with NUWCDIVPT Code 15 related projects. Experience managing or designing or systems engineering experience with systems that perform data collection and/or data distribution via software, infrastructure or platform as-a-service architectures. Advanced degrees or significant experience in physics related to and/or modeling of underwater environments. As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship. Location: Newport, RI Travel: Quarterly (approximately 4 times a year) Clearance: Secret Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens.
