Rebuild Technician
Applicable candidate will be responsible for performing equipment teardown and rebuilding, primarily on mechanical gearboxes and valves, along with assembly and testing. Process standard and special parts orders and provides verbal and written information to B&W internal representatives, including quote & order entry personnel, service center manager, sales and service. Assist with inbound equipment teardown, check-in, rebuilding, and shipping. Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous duties on a daily basis on the Service Center shop floor. Entry level manufacturing personnel responsible for teardown, cleanup, and assembly of inbound B&W mechanical equipment. Responsible for parts inventory, putting away new parts orders, pulling parts for rebuilds. Works closely with the Service Center Manager and Quote/Order Entry Personnel. May be required to process orders through completion/shipment and establishing internal parts orders. Responsible for accurate shipment and receiving of rebuild equipment. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and bills of material (BOM) to review and analyze original contracts is preferred. Assists in equipment rebuild and upgrades, requiring the use of various hand tools, electrical equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc. Applies test procedures to determine the integrity of the repaired equipment. May assist in some light-duty fabrication and assembly work. Utilizes torch cutting and welding on specific operational needs. Keeps records on all parts used for equipment rebuilds, files these records with the service center manager to log onto the B&W sales order. Use of Oracle based web system for daily timekeeping. Works with senior level techs or Service Center Manager for training to ensure accuracy in all of these tasks. Note: On a daily basis this role requires the individual to be standing, moving, lifting, utilizing forklifts, and various hand tools. Must have a strong knowledge of mechanical equipment. Must be able to utilize hand tools on a daily basis for performing equipment teardown & assembly. Must be able to work occasional overtime on an as-needed basis toward achievement of revenue/shipping forecasts. Desire to work with hands and utilize developed technical skillset including: Mechanical knowledge, painting, and welding. Organization skills are a must to keep work area and shop tidy. High School Diploma or GED is required. Vocational, Technical, or Associate Degree is preferred. Primary Location
