Project Specialist, IT PMO
In the position of Project Specialist, you will work closely with project management office (PMO) and IT leadership, other designated project managers, representatives from the business and project participants to help develop project charters and project plans (schedules, resources, communications etc.). Maintain project information, follow up on action items, and open issues, and manage to upcoming deadlines during project execution. Ensure the success of IT initiatives by properly documenting project details, organization, updates in a timely manner within project management platform. Essential Job Functions: Work with members of the PMO and in collaboration with representatives from IT, business representatives, help implement and execute project management best practices. Ensure all project details are properly documented, organized, followed up on and updated in a timely manner within Monster's project management platform. Ensure every product related Information is maintained in a consistent and coherent fashion, aligned with PMO best practices. Help create templates in project management software to ensure consistent planning and tracking of deliverables, work packages, activities, issues etc. that repeat across projects. Maintain and update internally developed project management best practices on ongoing basis. Maintain the information in the project Roadmap in program and project management software. Support educating and guiding project teams on the use of best practice during the project management lifecycle. Assist in the definition of project objectives, scope, and deliverables, then update project management software with the information. Assist in the development of business cases, and maintenance of related information in project management software. Schedule meetings, take and publish notes, and follow up on action items timely. Escalate issues and risks to management as needed to ensure awareness and drive response. Facilitate the resolution or issues and through proactive discussions with stakeholders. Position Requirements: Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or related field Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in coordinating IT projects Additional Experience Desired: Minimum 1 year of experience in project management position Computer Skills Desired: Proficiency with Microsoft's office desktop solutions (Excel and PowerPoint a must), SharePoint, Visio, Teams, Atlassian's Jira, and Confluence a plus Preferred Certifications: N/A Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Proficiency in, strong working understanding of various project management methodologies including Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Prince and/or Agile a plus Base Salary Range: $63,750 - $85,000 Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
