VP Sales And Trading TDS
The VP Sales and Trading TDS develops an institutional investor base in the U.S. to fund the Bank and to place U.S. and Canadian money market positions. The position liaises closely with the Bank's other operations in Canada, Europe, and the U.S. to assist in meeting the Bank's objectives. Role responsibilities include: Conduct in-depth research and analysis of global foreign exchange markets, G10 and EM, identifying trends, and providing strategic insights to guide investment decisions Develop and execute global FX trading strategies, taking into account market dynamics, economic indicators, and geopolitical events Collaborate with traders, sales teams, and clients to provide real-time analysis, updates, and recommendations on FX market developments Utilize strong quant skills to build and enhance FX models and tools, integrating data analysis and new techniques into existing the FX strategy framework Develop and implement forecasting models to predict currency movements, market volatility, and macroeconomic trends Assist in the development and execution of hedging strategies to manage currency exposure and mitigate risk for the bank and its clients Monitor and assess the impact of macroeconomic factors on currency movements and FX-based portfolio performance Stay up-to-date with industry news, regulations, and technological advancements, ensuring the bank remains at the forefront of FX strategy Depth and scope include: Position liaises closely with the Banks other operations in Canada, Europe and the U.S. to assist in meeting the Banks objectives Develops an institutional investor base in the U.S. to fund the Bank and to place U.S. and Canadian money market positions Strict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firm's procedures Understands and complies with TD Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements Ensures that transactions are fully documented and processed accurately and in a timely manner Communicates bank policy information and strategy between the product head and relevant trading personnel Fully informed on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory standards at all times to assist in maximizing profitability through sound trading decisions Develops and maintains contacts Responsible for executing the ongoing trading exception report reviews for Money Markets Sales NY Understands the approved Business Strategies (Strategic Business Reviews SBRs), applicable to the business, and ensures that all of your business dealings are in alignment with these strategies Follows Credit Risk Policies and procedures, as they apply to the business and is responsible for being aware of and understanding such policies and procedures and ensuring that applicable sales and trading activity is in line with those policies Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices Education and experience include: Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics Series 7 and 63 5-7 Years of related experience Must be detail oriented and possess problem-solving skills Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and establish priorities Proficient in interpersonal communication (both oral and written), and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management Preferred qualifications include: Graduate degree in economics, finance, or international affairs if coursework focuses on economics and policy. PhD is nice to have but not required Experience writing and publishing thematic research content in FX Proficiency in Python (strong experience with VBA, Excel and spreadsheet-based analysis) Interest to learn and/or basic understanding of stochastic calculus, machine learning and data science Deep understanding of economic theory, principles and econometrics Strong experience with Bloomberg or Macrobond preferred Good team player with excellent mathematical, verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines, ability to adopt to changing environment with a creative mindset 3-5 years' work experience in the buy or sell-side in the strategy, research or analysis roles Physical requirements include: Domestic Travel
