This is a 10-year project modernizing advanced airborne defense platforms, starting with heavily modified Boeing 747s. Be one of the first 5 avionics techs hired and work inside state-of-the-art, climate-controlled hangars in Dayton, Ohio. Your Responsibilities: Perform avionics modifications and installations on commercial aircraft. Terminate, crimp, and connect wires to exacting military and aerospace standards. Conduct operational checks, troubleshooting, and ring-outs of avionics systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and modification drawings. Support test, inspection, and integration phases in a classified environment. What You Bring: 3+ years of experience in aircraft avionics installation, wiring, and troubleshooting. Proficiency with tools for wire prep, crimping, routing, and testing. Ability to read wiring diagrams, pinouts, and modification packages. Must bring your own tools (shadowed and etched preferred). FAA Drug Test compliance required. Eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (active clearance a plus).
