Write the next chapter of your ABB story. This position reports to Production Engineering Manager. Your role and responsibilities include: Supporting production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Participating in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. Sharing cycle time data with internal teams. Focusing on keeping automation line working with minimum downtime and design and implement improvements to prevent issues. Working hand on hand with others team member for the detection, design and implementation of Kaizen improvement ideas for the Factory. Driving improvements focusing on workstations design & build up, cycle time calculation, timing, ergonomics, fixturing, tooling, layout design, material/product flow and automation, that will lead to efficiency, productivity, HSE and Quality goals. Hands on design and execution of improvements, build up and set up on the factory. Defining action plans and training maintenance and production resources to ensure smooth implementation of new processes. Preparing technical documentation and ensuring optimal efficiency in methods, performance and materials/components. Qualifications for the role include: Minimum of Associate Degree in program related field. 2 years or more of experience working on design and implementation of electromechanical projects. Mechanical or Electromechanical technician. Knowledge on Robotics, control systems and automation is a plus. Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings. Be able to develop them. Knowledge on 3D CAD software and 3D printing is desirable (AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing tools is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate and work with diverse discipline project teams. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
