Tool Designer (Tool Design Engineer)
We have an immediate opening for a Tool Designer (Tool Design Engineer) to join our team in Canton, GA. This role is crucial in designing and manufacturing tools and fixtures essential for aerospace applications. Location: Canton, GA Pay Rate: $43-$53/hour Employment Term: Six-month contract Key Responsibilities: Design and Development:
Utilize CATIA to create detailed designs of tooling and fixtures. Collaborate with engineers to translate requirements into functional designs and conduct feasibility studies. Manufacturing Support:
Provide technical support during manufacturing, including collaboration with machinists and suppliers. Create manufacturing drawings and documentation. Quality Assurance:
Establish and enforce quality standards for tooling inspection and testing, ensuring compliance with aerospace regulations. Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for innovation in tooling design and manufacturing processes. Stay updated on advancements in technology and materials. Project Management:
Manage project timelines and deliverables. Communicate progress and solutions to stakeholders. Requirements: Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required with substantial experience. Technical Skills:
Proficiency in CATIA is a must. Familiarity with aerospace materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, composite tooling, additive manufacturing), and industry standards (e.g., AS9100, AS 9001). Skills:
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication. Experience with project management tools is advantageous. Citizenship:
