The Shipping Manager manages and oversees the day-to-day functions of the site’s shipping department, including inventory management, warehousing, and distribution of materials. This position is accountable for meeting customer packaging specifications and the accuracy of shipping documents. Job Duties
Managing shipping operations and customer instructions on release dates, delivery specifics, and forwarding relevant information to Sales and Accounting teams on shipment of goods. Managing order shipment accuracy by checking orders against vendor invoices and bills of lading. Managing inventory control of finished goods. Leading, developing, and coaching the shipping team by performing quality observations and identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement using LEAN principles; collaborating with management to maintain a positive work environment. Requirements
B.S. Degree in Business, Logistics, or related fields. Proficiency in MS Office and Oracle ERP accounting system. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team. Experience with Lean production methodologies. Knowledge of supply chain programs (Campaigns, Rhythm Wheels, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, Finite Scheduling) and project management experience. 5 to 8 years of professional experience in shipping and/or warehouse management. Physical and Environmental Requirements
Physical Activity: Standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and manual handling for over 2/3 of the time; walking less than 1/3 of the time. Lifting: Up to 50 pounds less than 1/3 of the time. Vision: Close, distant, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus required. Environment: Predominantly in a factory setting. Noise: Factory conditions. About Us
