Director of Contract Management - State Government
to join our State Prisons team at our
Corporate Headquarters
in
Birmingham, AL . The Director is responsible for managing the care team, coordinating, evaluating, and overseeing off-site managed care contracts and network usage. This role involves developing relationships with community providers, negotiating contracts, and leading provider network strategy, including access analysis and cost management. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with community hospitals and provider groups. Negotiate favorable contracts with community providers. Improve contract performance through payment analysis and addressing provider concerns. Support cost reduction, utilization, and quality objectives using data analysis. Oversee departmental staff and develop managed care strategies. Coordinate with clinical departments and external partners to ensure integrated service delivery. Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders. Analyze claim data and market information to support negotiations. Travel up to 5% as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. At least 5 years of experience in healthcare operations or finance at an executive level. Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience. Extensive experience in healthcare reimbursement contracting. Strong planning, organizational, and business skills. Experience in healthcare administration in complex settings. Working Conditions
Sitting for long periods, working at a computer. Light physical activity, including lifting and carrying. Communication with staff and stakeholders. Additional Details
