Responsibilities
* Oversee the full scope of accounting and financial reporting functions establishing and maintaining an effective departmental structure to meet strategic and operational objectives. * Direct the preparation and distribution of monthly GAAP-compliant financial statements, inclusive of management summaries, departmental breakdowns, and variance analyses. * Optimize cash returns and manage banking activities to minimize financial risk. * Monitor and communicate the organization’s financial health by gathering, evaluating, and presenting key financial metrics. * Compile and deliver special reports by researching, analyzing, and interpreting data trends. * Lead, coach, and guide accounting staff, fostering performance through mentoring, training, and performance management. * Manage the flow of information to external auditors during the year-end audit process. * Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal reporting obligations, including tax compliance. * Provide ad hoc financial analysis in support of major initiatives, operational issues, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting * CPA Preferred * Big 4 or other public accounting experience with at least 2 years of industry at a supervisor or manager level * Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with SAP is preferred.
