Key Responsibilities:

Network Infrastructure Design, implement, and manage LAN/WAN networks, firewalls (e.g., Meraki), switches, and wireless systems. Configure VPN tunnels, VLANs, Starlink, and cellular internet devices. Run and terminate network cables for switches, access points, and cameras. Maintain firewall rules, enforce traffic shaping, and ensure network security. Document network architecture and perform ongoing analysis and improvements. Systems Administration

Install and manage POE security camera systems across sites. Support Command Alkon scale ticketing systems and related integrations. Troubleshoot and support ICS, SCADA, PLCs, and other operational technologies. Maintain and support SAGE 300 CRE (server and client environments). Participate in enterprise software implementations (ERP, HRIS, Accounting). Administer SharePoint for document management and collaboration. Use PowerShell and Python for automation and workflow improvements. Assist in backup and disaster recovery planning and documentation. Project Management & Documentation

Lead or support technical project rollouts, ensuring alignment with timelines and goals. Coordinate with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders for system upgrades. Maintain accurate and up-to-date system configuration documentation. IT & Help Desk Support

Provide Tier 1-2 support for Charleston office and port operations users. Support hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals. Manage user accounts and permissions in AD, O365, and enterprise applications. Install, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, VoIP phones, and conferencing tools. Maintain inventory, perform routine updates, and apply security patches. Support onboarding/offboarding and educate users on IT policies and best practices. Evaluate and provide guidance on AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance productivity. Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of experience in a System Administrator or equivalent role. Proven experience in industrial or maritime IT infrastructure environments. Proficient with Windows Server and/or Linux environments. Strong understanding of core protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP). Experience with Active Directory, Exchange/O365, and Azure. Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Cisco Meraki, Command Alkon, Microsoft SharePoint & Teams, Microsoft Entra ID, SAGE 300 CRE, Access and SQL databases. Background in industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and OT components. Prior experience managing cybersecurity incidents and remediations. Knowledge of information security best practices. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco). Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and to Canada. Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, and occasional site visits in industrial environments. Must be able to work in environments that may include loud noise, dust, uneven surfaces, and outdoor conditions. Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate computers, tools, and equipment. Must have visual acuity to read printed materials and computer screens May require occasional after-hours or weekend support for critical systems. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
