Job Summary:
This role requires the incumbent to work safely within production test areas in accordance with standard work methods and instructions to achieve the required safety, environmental and quality standards, in line with company policies and to satisfy customer demands.
This involves a high level of electronics understanding and fault finding/diagnostics to determine root cause of assembly issues/failures and test station function.
Develop test work instructions and provide feedback to the appropriate team where assembly problems are found. Support all areas of electrostatics testing and provide R&D and customer service with appropriate information/data as required.
Key Responsibilities: Work in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Test assemblies as required (both high and low voltage) across multiple applications. Diagnose and resolving technical problems encountered during testing. Testing assemblies across multiple work cells. Organise training for cell operatives using standard work as required. Ensuring that test equipment is properly calibrated and maintained. Effective work planning and scheduling to meet production demands. Assist where necessary with quality notifications and raise any build errors (BOM, MIP, drawings) with appropriate departments. Gathering and record data from tests, analysing results, and identifying any deviations or issues. General Tasks:
Utilizes small hand tools for positioning parts to assist assembly operations, stripping wire, forming leads etc. to IPC Standards IPC certification and strong knowledge of soldering and cleaning techniques to IPC standards. Liaise with other departments to meet production targets, customer expectations, and identify improvement opportunities. Ability to operate and maintain various testing instruments and equipment. Actively contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives Work towards SQDC and productivity targets. Support cell leaders to implement and control 5S standards in the production cells. Carry out duties, which might reasonably be expected by your production Manager. Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures Education/Training:
Associates degree in electronics Deep knowledge of IPC and certifications Ability to read and speak English fluently Good understanding of problem solving and fault finding using standard problem-solving tools Knowledge of ATEX/FM and other standards
