Registered Nurse
Stepdown position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. This is a Full Time position and also qualifies for a sign-on bonus! Reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services, this position assumes the accountability of all aspects of adult and geriatric patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and within the guidelines of the State of California Nurse Practice Act. Accountable for maintaining standards of nursing practice and optimal patient outcomes in the Stepdown Unit. Responsible for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel. Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965 with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: One year ICU/StepDown/PCU experience preferred. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Critical Care course required for new grads and RN`s with less than one year experience within 9 months of start date, effective date of change for employees hired or transfered after Sept. 1, 2011. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS: Current California RN license required. Basic Arrhythmia Certificate or 12-Lead EKG C ertificate preferred. ACLS required within 90 days of start date. Current BLS (CPR) required through the American Heart Association. CCRN preferred. NIH Stroke Scale C ertification within 90 days of Hire required.
