Fabrication Technician
Peraton is looking for a Fabrication Technician to join our team in West Bethesda, MD. This position supports the US Navy's Signature Physics Program. This program directly supports US Navy war-fighters by performing research, development, and test of signature control technologies on US Navy platforms. This is a full time on-site position in West Bethesda, MD. What you'll do: Wood, metal, and polymer fabrication. Wood is most common Fabrication of test articles as well as custom enclosures for shipping and storage Test and installation of fabricated articles Operation and maintenance of shop tools (table-saw, milling, drill press, etc) Use of hand tools (sander, router, saws, drills, etc) Work collaboratively with design engineers to resolve fabrication and fit issues Qualifications: Education and Experience: High School level plus some advanced training with a minimum of 3 years of experience Demonstrated experience fabricating special items and enclosures from wood and metal Experience with hand tools Experience with shop tools Experience fabricating articles from design tools such as Solidworks Active DoD Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: Experience with mixing, pouring, and shaping polymer items Mold making experience Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
