Clerk Retail will report to Assistant Manager Retail. Clerk Retail will assist guests, selling merchandise, including pre-packaged food and beverage (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), cashiering accurately and efficiently. Monitors and maintains stock levels within the department. Provides outstanding guest service. Core Responsibilities: Sells gift shop merchandise, including pre-packaged food and beverage (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), cashiering accurately and efficiently. Ensures merchandise stock levels are appropriately maintained and informs supervisor of any stock level irregularities. Provides outstanding guest service to all gift shop guests. Monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of the gift shop. Obtains assigned bank and ensures accuracy of contracted monies. Documents all guest requests, complaints or problems. Maintains confidentiality of guest information and pertinent property data. Remains knowledgeable at all times of all property features, services, and hours of operation. Assists guests with any questions, concerns, or complaints. Performs other duties as assigned. Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job. Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age. Minimum 1 year experience performing same or similar job functions. Previous experience using suggestive up-selling techniques in a retail environment preferred. Outstanding guest service skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers). Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal. Able to successfully use computers and calculators. TAM card is required. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions - Environment: Work is performed in an outdoor pool setting and inside casino environment. Must be able to work well in a fast paced, multi-tasking, detail-oriented environment. Must be available to work flexible hours, as needed, including early mornings, overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strength sufficient to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds below or at waist level and occasionally lift; move or carry objects over 40 pounds below and at waist level with assistance. Comfortable with heights and climbing ladders. Hearing sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone. Speech is sufficient to make oneself heard and understood in person, in front of groups, and over the telephone. Mobility sufficient to safely move in a retail environment, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and move merchandise. The team member may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.
