Financial Management Analyst
Axiom is looking for a Financial Management Analyst to support the DoD in the Washington, DC area. An active Secret or Top Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position. This is an upcoming opportunity contingent on contract award. Financial Management Analyst provides comprehensive financial support aligned with DOD's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. Supports budget formulation, execution, and reconciliation for financial programs. Assists in monitoring obligation and expenditure data, managing funding documents, and preparing financial reports and forecasts for senior leadership. Performs detailed resource planning and tracking across fiscal years, ensuring consistency with DoD PPBE timelines and FSD operational needs. Key Responsibilities:
Support preparation, justification, and execution of financial division budgets. Monitor, collect, and reconcile obligation and expenditure data. Track approved, deferred, and released funds and maintain proper audit trails. Assist with the development of decision support tools, graphs, and briefings. Ensure compliance with DoD financial guidance, policies, and controls. Provide data call support and financial input to higher headquarters as needed. Assist in developing and maintaining multi-year budget plans. Analyze historical data and trends to support budget recommendations. Coordinate with leadership to justify budget requests. Prepare spend plans, execution summaries, and reprogramming documentation. Respond to financial data calls with accurate, timely submissions. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. 5+ years in DoD financial management, including PPBE experience. Familiarity with DOD budgeting practices. Proficiency in DOD financial systems (e.g., GFEBS, DEAMS, DAI, or FM Suite tools). Experience with DOD budget formulation and justification. Familiarity with DOD budget approval processes. Knowledge of DOD appropriations categories (O&M, RDT&E, etc.). Clearance: An active Secret clearance is required. Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check. Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s).
