Leadership Opportunity In Artificial Intelligence Consulting
The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is seeking a highly skilled leader to head the AI Consulting portfolio. Who Are You: You are a highly skilled leader with a unique blend of technical expertise in software engineering and AI/ML, as well as strong business acumen and communication skills. You have hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI solutions, and are able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities and develop associated statistical models. You possess a combination of skills, including: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Programming knowledge and experience with machine learning and software engineering Excellent communication skills to understand business needs and communicate the value of AI models Business focus and creative thinking to quickly cycle hypotheses through the discovery phase of projects Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and drive projects through to completion Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience. Previous experience building machine learning models. Significant experience in applying machine learning techniques to business problems. Experience evaluating model performance, including performance metric selection. Experience with feature engineering and data cleaning/pre-processing. Experience with developing software and software engineering best practices. Wide application experience with natural language processing, generative AI models, and software frameworks. Experience using AI/ML frameworks. Experience with Python, Typescript, or compiled languages like C++, Golang, etc. Must be a US Citizen Desired Skills: Experience working with Agile methodologies and projects Superlative communication and interpersonal skills Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field Experience with cloud platforms Certifications in AI/ML or related fields Experience leading a team of researchers and engineers Familiarity with common Python libraries used for developing reinforcement learning applications Experience with the design, implementation, and evaluation of models, agents, and software prototypes for real-world AI Proven ability to bridge fundamental research into products History of addressing real-world problems by integrating novel research Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $120,600 - $209,070. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.
