Schedule and purchase materials to support production schedules while maximizing plant efficiencies and profitability and meeting established customer service levels. Key duties and responsibilities: Plan and control appropriate levels of inventory to support production, including cycle count program. Initiate, review, and process purchase requisitions. Coordinate with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule. Review and manage change requests from customers, plants, and suppliers; reschedule as necessary. Develop and maintain all master data related to planning, such as safety stock, lead times and lot size. Support inventory management directives. Other duties as assigned. Performance measures and outcomes: Safety metrics On-time shipments Schedule attainment Education/certification: Level required: High school diploma or equivalent Level desired: Bachelor's degree Work experience required: Entry level Desired: 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing Desired: 2-5 years of experience in a plastics or fabrication environment Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities: Ability to handle the stress of working with others Ability to be available outside of normal work hours Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others Ability to lead by example Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components Knowledge of the processes, tools, and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site Travel requirements: 5% - 10% travel Work schedule: 5/8 Two companies, one vision.
