Pipeline Scheduling Coordinator
Plains All American is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs). Responsible for scheduling oil and/or scheduling product movements on various Plains Pipeline systems within the United States. Creates and updates pipeline pumping and delivery schedules. Coordinates with connecting pipelines, field operations and pipeline controllers to ensure that product movements comply with regulations, company policies, and relevant procedures for safe and efficient operations of pipeline and terminal systems. Job Responsibilities Facilitates pipeline movements to manage system inventory at a safe and reasonable level to ensure scheduled deliveries are ratable and timely. Provides primary link with customers and is customer support for all shippers. Prepares and monitors daily schedules for pipeline movements and revises as required. Prepares monthly schedules based on customer and connecting carrier requirements to maximize throughput and efficiency. Responsible for all phases of the nomination including reconciling nominations for volume, type, location and accounting for shippers. Works closely with field personnel and pipeline controllers to coordinate pipeline activities that affect product movements. Responsible for managing shipper inventories on a continuous basis. Provides Pipeline Accounting with timely information and supports all monthly close procedures. Create, maintain, and distribute monthly and yearly reports of product movements. Provide support for Business Development. Any other scheduling relating tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational ability and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word. Basic knowledge of pipeline system operations including inventory is required; advanced knowledge is preferred. Position requires the ability to make sound and effective decisions 24 hours per day 7 days per week. Office work environment.
