Anchor Glass Elmira Temporary Summer Opportunities for College Students. Summary: Visually examines containers to ensure proper specifications. Packs ware manually into containers if automatic equipment is not utilized. Activates automatic machines and places ware off or on the production lines, as necessary. Un-jams equipment such as conveying lines, inspection equipment and case packers, as necessary. Prepares paperwork such as production tally sheets. Main Position Responsibilities

Team player to operate automatic and semi-automatic equipment used in the packaging of glass bottles in a fast paced, production driven facility. Unjams equipment as required. May manually place tier sheets or frames. Records production information. Ability to work rotating shifts, nights and weekends. Job Requires

Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, balance, stoop, bend, and crouch down. Accustom to long periods of standing. Able to withstand extreme work environments such as noise and heat in the summer months. Personal Protection Equipment is required and supplied. All students will be required to complete a Job Application and drug/alcohol screen. Employee Qualifications

Students must be 18 years old and have completed at least one year of college with verifiable enrollment in continuing education, or just graduated High School and are enrolled (verifiable) in college for the 2025 Fall term. Will work through August 31st, 2025 or start of semester.
