The Department of Informatics in the Ying Wu College of Computing at NJIT seeks a university lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of information technology. Essential functions include: Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate classes in IT, computer networks, and cloud administration. Teach four classes in the fall semester and four classes in the spring semester. Perform service to the department and university. Prerequisite qualifications include: Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or a computing related discipline. Experienced in and able to teach classes in system administration, security, networking, pen testing, and/or cloud administration. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position. Preferred qualifications include: Two to four years of industry experience in system administration, security, networking, pen testing, and/or cloud administration. Prior university teaching experience. Bargaining unit: PSA Salary information: In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Act, the minimum annual base salary for this position is $65,000 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. While this pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other compensation, NJIT may consider offers above the stated range for exceptional candidates based on relevant experience and qualifications.
