Design and develop robust modular systems Development of embedded system software Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues at a global scale Document key technical areas and share knowledge through technical presentations Required Background
BS in Computer Science / Software Engineering or 8+ years of relevant work experience 5+ years of combined experience in C/C++/Rust 3+ years of experience in low-level Linux / BSD systems programming Proven track-record of solving ambiguous problems with minimal direction Strong debugging / analysis / troubleshooting skills Desired Skills
Embedded Systems development using Rust Experience with the Yocto Project Experience using interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, etc. Additional Skills
Git version control Experience with storage and computer networking domains Motivated self-starter Enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Knowledge of Japanese language and culture is a plus The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below. $172,100 - $258,100 USD Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
