Job Overview

Performs analysis, design, and implementation on systems to solve complex problems under the direction of a Senior Hospital Applications Analyst or Principal Hospital Applications Specialist. Tests and analyzes processes according to system specifications and within established timelines. Interacts with customers, vendors, and other HST/IS&T staff to identify problems and propose solutions. Conducts training programs as required. Responsibilities

What You'll Do Provides analysis, design, and support of hospital systems, including testing, training, implementation, and on-going support. Works to complete project plan tasks under the direction of a Senior Hospital Applications Analyst or Principal Hospital Applications Specialist. Conducts hospital system workflow analysis. Interacts with end users, vendors, and other related areas to gather requirements and compile data. Assists in the installation of software and/or hardware. Works in concert with other HST/IS&T departments pertaining to the planning and implementation of systems to ensure that HST/IS&T standards are met. Designs and develops application programs from analysis through implementation. Documents, communicates, and assists in problem determination and resolution. Develops and maintains systems build documentation, issue documentation, and other documentation as required. Qualifications

What You'll Bring Required: Bachelor's Degree required, with preference for Computer Science, Healthcare (BSN), Business Administration, or related field. Two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in related technology field. Direct experience with electronic medical records is a plus. Must complete certification on an Epic application specified by management within 6 months of training. Strong problem solving skills. Strong, detail-oriented organizational skills. Demonstrated interpersonal skills working in a service-oriented environment. Effective written and oral communications a must. Equivalent education, experience, and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirements. Preferred: Prior Epic experience is highly desirable.
