Environmental Services Supervisor
St. John's Episcopal Hospital is the only hospital providing emergency and ambulatory care to the densely populated, culturally and economically diverse, and medically underserved populations of the Rockaways and Five Towns in southern Queens County and southwestern Nassau County, New York. Celebrating over 110 years of community care, the 257-bed facility provides people of all faiths with comprehensive preventive, diagnostic treatment and rehabilitative services, regardless of ability to pay. Type: Part-Time (37.5 hours biweekly) Shift: Varies Hours: Varies Pay: $37,000 - $42,000 per year Supervises and coordinates the Environmental Services Department in order to maintain the facility in a clean and orderly condition. Plan, organize, and control the activities of the EVS department Ensure supplies are available for staff to complete their assignments daily Monitor employee time and attendance Validate and document terminal cleaning regularly Complete Bed Report each morning and effectively communicate bed availability and room readiness Adjust staffing patterns in accordance with Hospital census Monitor linen distribution on the units adjusting delivery counts in accordance with Hospital census Monitor work performance and prepare reviews and/or evaluation for assigned personnel US High School diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's or Master's Degree in relevant field of study preferred Knowledge of all environmental services procedures, applicable laws, and government regulations Previous Environmental Services managerial experience required
