Program Cook
The Program Cook will provide high levels of guest service while preparing food, overseeing equipment maintenance, kitchen cleanliness, ordering, receiving, and storage of all food items. This individual will be empowered to ensure member and guest satisfaction. Maintain high levels of guest service while interacting positively with guests and members of the Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center. The Program Cook will coordinate food service in partnership with the Kroc Center Administrators. They will prepare food orders, receive food, control inventory, rotate stock, and stock supplies. The Program Cook will assist with the set-up, execution, and cleanup of events as needed. They will complete responsibilities within the written schedule and clean equipment, storage areas, and floors to standards. Qualifications
Three to five years of supervisory experience within a hospitality operation with hands on knowledge of food, cooking techniques, and on-premise events. Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment. Possess good guest service skills. Able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds. Able to stand on feet for long periods of time. Ability to work well with others while responding to direction and feedback. Able to read, write, and clearly communicate in English. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes. Possess good mathematic skills and demonstrate the ability to understand food costing and portion control. Must be able to function effectively with minimal supervision. Must be ServSafe Certified and possess a Philadelphia Food Establishment Personnel Food Safety Certificate. As a Mandated Reporter, must provide proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment with recurrent training required every five years thereafter. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check.
