Imaging Team Leader

Eligible for a Sign-On Bonus up to $20,000 As the Imaging Team Leader, you will assist the Imaging Center Manager in maintaining continuity in the day-to-day operations of assigned modality in the Department of Radiology at imaging facilities in DCAM, CCD, Comer, and Mitchell Hospitals. The Imaging Team Leader acts as a resource person to other technologists, reviews images for quality, protocol, and proper labeling before submitting them for Radiologist interpretation, maintains inventory levels and fills out order levels, and meets regularly with the Imaging Center Manager to discuss problems or suggestions for improving procedures and patient through-put. Essential Job Functions: Has a knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical and psychological needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, young and mature adults, and geriatric patients. Assigns the technical staff to work stations. Using the posted work schedule as a guide. Distributes the work to technical staff controlling patient/work flow. Reviews Radiology request for the proper completion of exam data. Ensures correct data is entered into RIS. Reviews all exams for quality. Notifies technologists when images are to be repeated and the proper technical factors needed for correction. (i.e., positioning, density, etc.) Orientates new staff technologist and student technologist to department as required. Performs exam verification process for all cases logged into RIS. Including any special remarks are recorded appropriately. Indicates exam is in proper location in RIS. and directs the patient appropriately. Reports and records all malfunctioning equipment to ICL and Radiology Engineering appropriately. Acts as a key contact person for the section; works with physicians, nursing floors, radiologists, and ICLr to prioritize and coordinate the daily work load as appropriate. Acts as a leader and role model for staff technologists. Ensures all regulatory compliance standards are met to ensure patient and staff safety. Participates in continuing education activities to maintain appropriate Licensure and accreditation. Presents instructional seminars for staff technologists as needed.
