Foreman
The Foreman coordinates construction operations and oversees workers at the construction site. The Foreman also coordinates with the Site Superintendent and Project Manager to attain scheduling goals. The Foreman is experienced in all aspects of construction, a point of reference for both workers and supervisors and is key for the completion of the project. Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and duties include: Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans Produce short term schedules and monitor attendance of crew and subcontractors personnel Allocate general and daily responsibilities to carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors Supervise and train workers and tradespeople Ensure manpower and resources are adequate Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met Supervise the use of machinery and equipment Resolve problems when they arise Report on progress to managers, engineers, etc. Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Position requirements include: Proven experience as construction foreman or journeyman carpenter High School diploma; or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter, etc.) 7 years experience in the construction industry with at least 3 years as a Foreman or high level carpenter Knowledge of building codes and permit regulations Excellent organizational and leadership skills Ability to communicate and report effectively Ability to read plans and schedules In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications Journeyman-level carpentry skills Team-building and mentoring skills Ingenuity based on technical knowledge and experience with both traditional and new materials Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Bluebeam, Procore, Dropbox a plus Benefits
