As a Full Time, Health Support Professional at The Arc of Chemung-Schuyler in Elmira, you will provide essential assistance with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and hygiene, always in a respectful and supportive manner. Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring and documenting vital signs and any changes in health status, promptly reporting any concerns to nursing and supervisory staff. You'll play a crucial role in promoting safe mobility, including lifting, transferring, and repositioning individuals, as well as assisting during mealtimes while ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines. In addition to maintaining a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, you'll participate in implementing individualized habilitation plans that encourage skill development and independence. Your accuracy in documentation, engagement with the interdisciplinary team, and support during medical appointments will contribute to meaningful inclusion for the individuals you serve, all while upholding their rights and dignity.
