Hospital Maintenance Technician III
We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician III, also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist, at Providence Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, KS. A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. They perform routine inspections, respond to emergencies, and ensure compliance with safety codes to support patient care and hospital operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Repair & Maintenance of Equipment:
repair and maintain mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, and plant infrastructurewhile troubleshooting issues using schematics and blueprints Preventative Maintenance:
regular inspections and checks to prevent breakdowns, like lubricating motors, testing generators, or checking emergency lighting Facility Upkeep:
patching walls, painting, installing fixtures, or even minor carpentry or electrical work Safety Compliance:
ensure a safe working environment by maintaining accurate equipment logs, adhering to safety standards, and driving as needed for company business If you have experience or training in HVAC repair, plumbing or electrical systems you are encouraged to apply! Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam Boiler, HVAC, electrical, etc) Valid state driver's license High School Diploma or equivalent Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Five (5) years' experience in a healthcare setting ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Systems Maintenance certification Building automation experience Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: Employment Status
