Quality Control (QC) Analyst

The QA Analyst will be responsible for performing various analytical techniques and common standard lab practices under supervision. This mid-level position may provide support for multiple sub-group Quality Control activities in a fast-paced, early Phase-focused, dynamic Quality Control group. This is a full-time hourly position on-site: Monday
Friday, day shift hours (1st shift). The Role: Execution of various standard laboratory techniques, including but not limited to buffer, solution, and sample preparation, may include chromatography (H/UPLC), dissolution, water content Independent preparation of samples, solutions, instrument set-up and breakdown Independent preparation of data packets to summarize analytical testing, and some interpretation of data to note potential trends Understanding of cGMPs, Catalent Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Catalent systems applicable to work performed Understand and apply International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidance Communicates directly and effectively with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Quality Control leadership May work on a QC team for specific activities (i.e. Raw Material release, Cleaning, In-process testing, etc.) Other duties as assigned The Candidate: Associate's Degree minimum required (preferably focused in scientific discipline) No experience is required for this position, but candidates with two years of lab experience are preferred GMP experience preferred Technological proficiency for use of the personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and the Internet Physical Requirements: On an average 8-hour day this position requires the ability to walk, sit and stand, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms at or above shoulder height and below waist height, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear, smell and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision requirements including reading of written documents, visual inspection of materials and use of computer monitor screen frequently Pay: The anticipated salary range for this role in San Diego, CA is $54,000 to $57,000 annually. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
