Engineer Position
Selectek is looking for an Engineer in the Griffin, GA area. The candidate will learn all aspects of power connector application and design criteria. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or engineering related. 0-2 years of relevant experience Desire and ability to obtain Professional Engineer license. Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor is preferred.) Competent with additional computer software such as Microsoft Office. Able to travel to customer sites, domestic & international, as necessary for product support. Experience with power engineering, power utilities, or power substations is preferred but not required. Job Details: Cross reference and/or review company part numbers on customer quote requests. Provide cost estimation for new parts. Develop 2D assembly & pattern CAD drawings and 3D part CAD models as required. Design, order, and inspect patterns. Assist Quality Assurance department by inspecting parts in process for adherence to specifications. Order pattern repairs and modifications to increase production efficiency. Assist customers and agents with technical issues and connector recommendations. Perform mechanical & electrical tests on company's parts, evaluate results, and prepare test reports to meet customer requirements or industry standards. Salary: $60,000 - $66,000 annual salary Location: Griffin, GA Hours & Shift: Monday
