Overview
The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the initiation, planning, execution, and completion of technology-related projects within the organization. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and of good quality, while achieving the intended business objectives. The IT Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, manages risks and issues, and communicates project status to stakeholders. Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Coordinate the development of project charters and business cases. Develop detailed project schedules and budgets to ensure successful project execution. Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies. Identify and mitigate project risks while proactively managing issues. Manage change. Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to stakeholders and leadership. Ensure adherence to project management methodologies, best practices, and compliance requirements. Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and third-party providers as needed. Conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Ensure proper transition from project delivery into operations and maintenance. This position is Full Time Exempt, and reports to the Vice President for Information Technology. Qualifications
Required Education, Experience and Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience managing IT projects, including software development, infrastructure, or system implementation. Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Asana. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Preferred Education, Experience and Qualifications Master's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent certification. Experience working in enterprise IT environments, including cloud computing and cybersecurity. Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices. Knowledge of financial and resource planning in IT project management. Travel Requirements Approximately 20% of time will be spent traveling. Physical/Work Environment Requirements Essential Sitting, standing, driving, small spaces, computer work.
