Cyber Assessment Engineer

If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL! Our team is in need of a detail-oriented assessment engineer to support sponsor testing programs. The ideal candidate has previous experience with the DoD Cybersecurity Test and Evaluation Guidebook and has previously supported associated test events. This role does not involve certification and accreditation activities. As a Cyber Assessment Engineer, you will work with a team of talented professionals dedicated to improving cybersecurity for DoD systems. Your duties will include: Planning and executing a myriad of cybersecurity testing for complex DoD systems Analyzing test data to determine gaps Producing testing models Analyzing complex mission systems for cybersecurity vulnerabilities and risks Proposing recommendations for improving current and future systems security Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Information Systems Security or related field Have 3+ years of experience with planning, executing, and analyzing cybersecurity tests for complex DoD systems Have detailed knowledge of DoD guidance on cyber test and evaluation and cyber risk assessment based on the Procedures for Operational Test and Evaluation of Cybersecurity in Acquisition Programs Have participated in previous test events including Cyber Table Top Exercises, Cyber Risk Assessments, Developmental Test, and Operational Test events Understand Requirement verification methods Are detail oriented with excellent communication skills Hold an active Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
