Full-Time Unit Clerk at Carroll Lutheran Village
Join Our Team at Carroll Lutheran Village! We're currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Unit Clerk for our Healthcare Center to become part of our caring and mission-driven community. What You'll Do as the Unit Clerk at Carroll Lutheran Village: Keep unit rosters up to date, 24-hour reports, and assignment sheets and staffing hours sheet, lab labels readily available for nurse Greet visitors and guest and offer directions if needed Prepare admission, transfer, and discharge documentation as directed Answer and direct phone calls and emails professionally File resident records, lab results, physician orders, consults and other documents in accordance with facility protocols. Audit files regularly for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and facility policies. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information. Monitor response to call bells and assist with answering as needed. Record medical and administrative information in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures. Maintain up to date information in the Emergency Preparedness Book and Elopement Book. Record appropriate resident identification data on designated medical records. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility. Order, monitor and maintain par levels of the medical supplies. Organize and label supply areas for easy access and inventory control. Track usage trends and report discrepancies or supply issue to the Director of Nursing. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards in supply storage. Stock all incontinent supplies twice a week per resident needs. Provide coverage for medical records department and scheduling during absences. Assist with scheduling resident appointments and coordinating transportation. Support staffing coordination by posting daily schedule and staff assignments Communicate schedule changes and staffing updates to the nursing team.
