Water Resources Engineer
Full-Time Position in Tampa, FL
We are expanding our Florida team and are currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer based in Tampa. We are also open to considering candidates located in the Orlando and Tallahassee areas. Position Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for the technical execution of water resource engineering projects, from inception to completion. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing technical approaches, cost analyses, and conducting hydraulic designs. Analyzing field and modeling data, interpreting results, and applying them to project designs. Technical writing, including the preparation of proposals, memos, and reports. Collaborating with other technical staff members and coordinating with regulatory agencies such as Water Management Districts (WMDs) and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic or Civil Engineering. 4 to 8 years of experience in civil or hydraulic engineering. Strong knowledge of Florida regulations, particularly related to Water Management Districts and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (WMDs/FDEP). Experience with hydraulic modeling and analysis tools (e.g., HEC-RAS, ICPR4, XPSWMM). Experience working with public utilities on potable water supply projects. Strong technical writing skills. Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. Experience with integrated surface water-groundwater modeling. Familiarity with DHI MIKE SHE or similar software. Project management experience.
