Workday Administrator
The Workday Administrator will serve as the internal subject matter expert and administrator for all Workday, including HCM, Financials, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Integrations, and future modules. This role will be responsible for system configuration, security, reporting, and business process optimization across the Workday platform. Key Responsibilities
General Overview: Serve as the primary Workday administrator for HCM and Financials Configure and maintain Workday security roles, domains, and business processes Develop and maintain custom reports and dashboards (Workday Report Writer, Prism, etc.) Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to support ongoing enhancements and module rollouts Troubleshoot issues, manage tickets, and coordinate with Workday support Lead or support testing, training, and change management efforts Stay current on Workday releases and recommend improvements HCM: Support configuration and maintenance of HCM modules including Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, and Absence Management Collaborate with HR leadership to optimize business processes and workflows in Workday Assist in the rollout of new HCM features and modules, including testing and training Maintain data integrity and ensure accurate employee lifecycle transactions (hire, transfer, termination, etc.) Provide support for merit and bonus cycles, open enrollment, and other cyclical HR events FINS: Assist in the configuration and post-go-live support of Workday Financials (Core Financials, Expenses, Procurement, etc.) Partner with Finance to streamline financial workflows and reporting Maintain financial security roles and ensure proper segregation of duties Support month-end and year-end close processes through Workday Help implement additional financial modules as they are rolled out Report Writing: Design and maintain advanced custom reports and dashboards using Workday Report Writer and Prism Analytics Collaborate with HR and Finance stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and KPIs Automate recurring reports and ensure data accuracy across all outputs Support ad hoc reporting needs for audits, compliance, and executive leadership. Security and Implementation: Build and maintain Workday security roles, domains, and access policies Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements Participate in Workday implementation projects, including testing, data validation, and cutover planning Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and release updates Talent Management & Learning: Support the configuration and rollout of Workday Talent and Learning modules Assist in performance review cycles, goal setting, and succession planning processes Track learning compliance and certifications through Workday Learning Partner with HR to align talent initiatives with system capabilities Integrations: Manage and maintain Workday integrations with third-party systems (e.g., payroll, benefits providers, financial platforms) Design, build, and troubleshoot EIBs, Core Connectors, and Studio integrations Monitor integration performance and resolve errors or failures in a timely manner Collaborate with IT and external vendors to ensure data accuracy and secure data transfers Document integration processes and maintain version control for updates and enhancements Support Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST) and API-based integrations Participate in integration testing during Workday releases and new module implementations Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: 37 years of Workday experience, ideally across both HCM and Financials Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes, and reporting Experience with Workday Financials (e.g., Core Financials, Expenses, Procurement) a plus Ability to work independently and cross-functionally Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Workday HCM or Financials Certification (preferred but not required) Skills and Abilities
