Distribution Designer
We are seeking a skilled Distribution Designer with hands-on experience working on Southern California Edison (SCE) projects. This fully remote position supports utility infrastructure design across Southern California, focusing on overhead and underground electric distribution systems. The ideal candidate will be familiar with SCE standards, design tools, and permitting processes, and capable of producing construction-ready design packages. Key Responsibilities
Develop and review distribution design packages for overhead and underground systems. Use AutoCAD, GIS, and SCE-specific platforms (e.g., DDS) to create accurate and compliant designs. Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and permitting agencies to ensure timely project delivery. Apply SCE design standards, CPUC regulations, and local codes. Participate in virtual meetings to resolve technical issues and support project execution. Maintain documentation and contribute to project tracking and reporting. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in electric utility distribution design. Direct experience working on SCE projects is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS tools, and utility design software. Familiarity with SCE standards, permitting processes, and CPUC regulations. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting. Preferred
Experience with SCE's Distribution Design Studio (DDS). Knowledge of California permitting agencies and utility coordination. Technical training or coursework in electrical or civil engineering. What We Offer
