Coordinator For Platform Tennis And Pickleball Programs
Interested in joining our racquet sports team? We are seeking a qualified Coordinator for our Platform Tennis and Pickleball programs at the Glen Ellyn Park District. This coordinator role is responsible for performing administrative tasks such as promoting the program to the community, scheduling programs and lessons, coaching and leading specialized teams, supervising related facilities, and supervising part time coaching staff. This position requires professional knowledge of Platform Tennis and Pickleball. Key responsibilities include: Coordinating all aspects of Platform Tennis and Pickleball including scheduling of programs and staff, ordering of necessary program supplies, and providing general guidance/direction for both programs. Hiring, training, and supervision of part-time staff. Planning and organizing engaging activities for Platform Tennis and Pickleball programming. Serving as an instructor for Platform Tennis and Pickleball programming. Promoting the program within the community. Communicating effectively with program participants. Responding to facility maintenance needs for the Platform Tennis facility at Maryknoll Park and Pickleball courts. Leadership and management of Women's Travel Platform Tennis teams. Involvement with Glen Ellyn Platform Tennis Club and Men's Travel Platform Tennis teams. Assisting in seasonal information planning of Park District playbooks. Assisting in payroll for part-time staff. Striving for high participation, program retention, and revenue growth. Maintaining cleanliness and functionality within facilities. Qualifications include: Minimum of three (3) years of experience coaching Platform Tennis and Pickleball. Certifications highly desired: USPTA, PCI, PPR, and/or other recognized racquet sports certification. CPR/AED/First Aid certification or obtain within 90 days of employment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to work well under pressure and handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally. Detail oriented and highly organized. Reliable, punctual, and professional.
