The desired candidate will have proficiency with micrometers, bore gages, depth mics, calipers, surface plate and height gage inspection, and hardness testers, just to name a few. Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and tool calibration would be beneficial as well. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following
Inspect products visually and using gauges and measuring tools, focusing on receiving incoming materials, in-process and final inspection. Performs inspections of products to determine conformance with engineering drawings and specifications. Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs. Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags and nonconforming material documents. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and inspection instructions. Ability to work independently and to follow written instructions and techniques. Good basic mathematical aptitude required. Generate spreadsheets for data collection. Reconcile final inspection documentation for shipments. All other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum 6 months inspection experience in a manufacturing environment required. 3 to 5 years experience performing mechanical inspections is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to ensure delivery requirements. Clear communication (oral and written) skills. Detail oriented and ability to keep accurate records. Ability to follow documented procedures and standards. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Light physical effort required. Continuous mental and visual attention required. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, lifting, climbing & bending. Job may be performed while sitting or standing. Work performed in a shop environment. Exposed to any number of elements including dirt and dust.
