Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will play a pivotal role in working to expand the existing assets of the company through development of new projects related to Cryogenic Gas Processing Plants, NGL Fractionation facilities, NGL Exports, Petrochemical, Alternative Energy, and Emerging Technologies. Planning, design, analytical problem solving, decision making, teamwork, and good communication skills are necessary for the position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work in a team environment with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and operations Have leadership capabilities with organization, communication, and team working skills, through a combination of formal training and experience Perform upfront engineering on wide range of midstream assets including, but not limited to: new amine treaters, condensate stabilizers, glycol dehydration, cryogenic gas processing plants, NGL fractionation facilities, petrochemical, and NGL export terminals Assist Project Managers in process design of projects, evaluating operating scenarios, and assisting in the development of project scopes and cost estimates Ensure quality of Process Design Package deliverables (PFDs, H&M Balances, P&IDs, Equipment Data Sheets, etc.) Providing technical support and oversight to capital project management teams and third-party engineering companies in design review, process hazard assessment and Layers of Protection Analysis, construction, commissioning, and start-up of large processing, storage & handling facilities. Perform process technical evaluations in early project development stages. Provide technical support to plant process engineering in the development of capital projects, and to optimize existing processes. Provide support to others and develop solutions while following engineering standards, code compliance, proper company and safety standards, and good engineering practices Lead process design and development efforts in support of major capital projects. Utilize all available information and individual judgment to ensure that events and processes comply with laws, regulations and safety standards. Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen process engineering knowledge base and proficiencies Have a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below: Bachelor's in engineering discipline (Chemical preferred) and 3-6 years of relevant experience MS and/or PE License considered a plus. Minimum 3+ years of Process Engineering experience in gas processing or petrochemical industry 10+ years preferred NGL, fractionation, amine, or cryo plant experience considered a plus Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level Software Knowledge: Microsoft Products Engineering Simulation Programs (ProMax; Hysys; etc.) Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions and field work Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment will occur.
