The Blue Mountain Hospital District (BMHD) is located in Grant County, Oregon, at the heart of the John Day River, in beautiful, rural, Eastern Oregon. Unit Information: Ensuring that the operating room is adequately prepared for surgical procedures, assisting the surgeon during operative and invasive procedures, cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments, monitors inventory of supplies and surgical instruments to keep readily available for use, participates in Quality Improvement initiatives with department and attends all department staff meetings for the latest updates and information. Shift Information: 5x9.5 Day Pay Range: $23 to $34 Bonus Information: Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Graduate of Surgical Technology Program Active/Unencumbered Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in the Operating Room. The hospital was then rebuilt in 1960 in John Day. In May of 2001 ground was broken for the 7 million dollar replacement facility that was completed in August 2003. Blue Mountain Hospital has been designated a critical access hospital and is licensed for 25 beds. The Medical Center Clinics are housed within the facility and consist of a Family Practice Rural Health Clinic and a General Surgery Clinic. Blue Mountain Care Center is a 40-bed intermediate care facility located in Prairie City. The Care Center provides several options for senior living in Grant County, including 24-hour nursing care, restorative care with rehabilitative services, respite care and adult day care.
