Job Captain/Project Manager

The Job Captain/Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operations and activities of clients and their projects, as well as the staff assigned to those projects. This role ensures quality, profitability, efficiency, and timeliness while creating a team environment where all members work together to meet project deadlines. The position involves identifying the needs and concerns of the client and working to successfully satisfy these. Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Management: Work with the Business Director or Regional Partner to define the scope of projects. Prepare manpower requirements, schedules, budgets, and fee projections. Develop and coordinate construction methods and procedures. Initiate and oversee design development and the production of contract documents. Client and Team Communication: Maintain open communication with clients to avoid problems and improve relationships. Coordinate the staff assigned to projects to meet established schedules and budgets. Answer questions and provide daily guidance to the project team. Promote the firm within the business community to develop new clients. Documentation and Compliance: Keep project records including code documentation, project history, correspondence, estimates, and budgets. Develop code searches and participate in zoning and public hearings. Check the work of project staff for content and accuracy. Participate in construction walk-throughs and remedial action for projects falling behind budgeted hours/dollars. Financial and Billing: Participate in projections and the billing process to provide accurate information on work progress and additional billing requirements. Follow-up on overdue invoices. Industry Trends and Client Coordination: Keep up-to-date on current trends and developments in the housing market. Coordinate projects with outside consultants hired by clients or offices (including engineers, interior merchandisers, etc.). Assist with proposals. Required Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Planning, Design, Engineering, or a related field. With preferred education, 3 to 5 years of experience in assisting with all phases of a project. 5 to 10 years of experience working with a project from start to finish in lieu of educational requirement. Proven skills in leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Strong computer skills and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Ability to handle a broad range of functions. Understanding of construction methods/procedures. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with developing and managing project schedules and budgets. Knowledge of local zoning laws and public hearing processes. Ability to develop and maintain client relationships. Experience in promoting and marketing services within the business community. Job Benefits
