Bowie State University Full time Non-Regular Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Responsibilities: Provide instruction through introductory Zoology courses, with a strong commitment to inclusive teaching pedagogy, curriculum transformation, and teaching excellence. Design and implement new undergraduate courses in the areas of Environmental Science or Ecology that reflect current research and emerging trends in the field. Integrate experiential and high-impact teaching practices into courses (e.g., fieldwork, lab-based inquiry, course-based research) to enhance student engagement and learning. Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students and actively serve on committees. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Zoology, Ecology, Evolution, Environmental Science, Biology or related field(s) required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching introductory as well as advanced Biology/Zoology/Ecology courses in the field is preferred. Research experience and publications in Animal Ecology, Animal Evolution, or related fields. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in teams. Evidence of teaching excellence and technology application in the classroom. Demonstrated ability to spearhead experiential learning models is preferred. Experience working with underrepresented minorities in STEM. Experience working with various stakeholders, such as students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
