The department of Campus Recreation & Fitness at Keene State College is looking for a dynamic, experienced individual to join our staff as the Coordinator of Facility Management and Scheduling. This position is full-time, 100% year round and will work with three other professional staff and a large student staff while performing all aspects of facility management for the KSC Recreation Center and scheduling for the athletic/recreation facilities/fields for internal college groups and external groups. This position is considered essential staff and will be required to work evenings and weekends as well as during curtailed operations of the college to supervise the student staff and facility operations. The Coordinator will also hire, train, and supervise the student and professional support staff who oversee the recreation facility and programs. This position is responsible for communicating with in-house departments, campus facility users and external user groups for all facility-related issues, i.e., facility closures, reduced facility hours, construction and maintenance work in the facility, etc., and provide timely notification postings in the facility accordingly. Duties/Responsibilities

Personnel Management and Supervision Hire, train and supervise student staff (facility supervisors and lifeguards) and/or professional staff (site supervisors as needed) responsible for overseeing facility management/operations and campus recreation programs. Train student staff for their duties/responsibilities of their positions including policies/procedures, emergency response protocol, scheduling policies, membership processing, supervision of external group events, facility operations, etc. Train student facility supervisor staff to use iPads and database software (currently Odyssey) for student status and employee membership verification for their access to the Recreation Center. Train student facility supervisors on laundry room procedures for washing campus recreation items. Conduct hiring process through Workday ensuring students employees complete all tasks and approve hours worked each pay period. Facility Management and Scheduling Coordination Process and approve all scheduling requests submitted by internal campus groups including Athletics and HPMS and external user groups (event intake forms); create contracts and rental fee invoices; communicate approvals and other information with groups; communicate facility use policies and procedures; hire and supervise support staff; supervise external group events; post event and facility use notices; process maintenance work orders, custodial services needs and parking requests, accordingly. Process all scheduling requests via 25Live scheduling system. Serve on and attend campus scheduling committee and 25Live committee meetings. Ensure upkeep of laundry room equipment in coordination with Athletics, and student staff are trained in using machines. Serve as on-site supervisor for external group events as well as during evening, weekend and curtailed operations of the college to oversee student staff and facility operations. Coordinate with facilities services and custodial services regarding all facility maintenance and cleaning needs including scheduling annual steam plant shutdown and wood floor refinishing to communicate to in-house departments, employee members and external user groups accordingly. Communicate with Campus Safety regarding door access changes, emergencies, and external group facility use and parking needs. Administrative Duties Collect daily facility usage numbers from Odyssey reports. Use for semester and annual reports. Create and update training materials for student staff. Schedule regular meetings and trainings with student staff; developing and organizing training topics. Create and update facility use policies and procedures to communicate with facility users. Create and update student staff training manuals including emergency action plans and emergency response training. Create annual facility management reports. Create and update facility contracts, scheduling tracking logs and scheduling policies and processes. Ensure student staff maintain current lifesaving certification as required of their positions. Provide certification and re-certification courses in first aid and CPR/AED for staff. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years experience Required Licenses & Certifications

Current first aid and CPR/AED certification Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of facility management, operation and supervision, primarily recreation/athletic type facilities. Ability to train staff in facility management, emergency response, and event management. Supervisory experience of facilities and staff, primarily student employees. Knowledge of and experience with facility scheduling software (preferably 25Live or equivalent). Knowledge of and experience with information database (Odyssey or equivalent). Preferred Qualifications

First aid and CPR/AED instructor certification; lifeguard training certification; pool operator certification. Master's degree in related field such as but not limited to: sport management, athletic administration, physical education, recreation management. Experience in college/university setting preferably in campus recreation, recreation/athletic facility management and operations, event management and supervision of student personnel.
