Help Desk Support Technician

ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Help Desk Support Technician (able to obtain a Public Trust clearance) located in Silver Spring, MD. In this role, you will provide help desk support to Department of Commerce desktop users and support IT systems used in offices, on research vessels, and on research aircraft. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player, able to work independently and collaboratively, and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Attention to quality, confidentiality, and the ability to meet deadlines is essential. Availability to provide after-hours help desk support is required. Responsibilities

Ensure timely assistance to end users, including monitoring, tracking, and escalating support requests as needed Resolve issues via phone/email and potentially provide user training Manage incoming calls and emails to the Service Desk and ensure effective ticket processing Maintain and update tickets according to standard procedures Utilize remote tools for troubleshooting and support Basic Qualifications

Tier I support experience, including ticket queue monitoring Proficiency with Windows workstations and servers (installation, administration) Experience with Active Directory (configuration, administration) Familiarity with Windows Deployment Services and imaging Hands-on experience with hardware/software troubleshooting Ability to contribute to and update knowledge base content ActioNet is a CMMI-DEV Level 4, CMMI-SVC Level 4, ISO 20000, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, HDI-certified, woman-owned IT Solutions Provider with strong qualifications and expertise in Agile Software Engineering, Cloud Solutions, Cyber Security, and IT Managed Services.
