The Manager, Collections is responsible for leading Mulligan Fundings business loan collections function, overseeing a team of agents dedicated to recovering delinquent accounts. Reporting to the Vice President of Account Servicing and Collections, this role plays a critical part in executing our loan recovery strategy while preserving strong borrower relationships and maintaining regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires excellent negotiation skills, operational discipline, and a results-driven mindset. You will partner with Credit, Risk, and Legal to reduce losses, improve recovery processes, and ensure a consistent borrower experience. You will:

Lead, mentor, and support a team of Collections Agents, driving accountability and performance across business loan recovery activities Set clear goals and performance expectations for the team, monitor KPIs, and conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance reviews Develop and deliver training to ensure agents are equipped to handle complex negotiations and borrower conversations with professionalism and empathy Proactively contact delinquent business clients to discuss past due balances, explore repayment options, and guide them toward resolution Negotiate payment terms, settlements, and structured plans based on borrower needs, financial viability, and internal guidelines Analyze borrower financial information and assess risk to tailor repayment solutions that support both the client and company objectives Implement strategies to reduce days delinquent, charge-offs, and non-performing loan rates while enhancing recovery effectiveness Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all borrower communications, agreements, and escalations in the collections system Collaborate with Credit, Risk, and Legal teams to evaluate case complexity, align on strategy, and initiate legal recovery actions when necessary Prepare supporting documents for litigation, arbitration, or repossession when appropriate, coordinating with internal counsel as needed Serve as a key point of contact for borrowers in arrears, managing the relationship with professionalism and reinforcing Mulligan Fundings values Resolve borrower concerns and disputes, working to find win-win resolutions while protecting the companys financial interest Ensure collections practices meet all regulatory and legal standards, including FDCPA and applicable state laws Identify trends, pain points, and portfolio risks, and provide recommendations to senior leadership for continuous improvement Partner with internal stakeholders to share feedback, contribute to process optimization efforts, and align collections strategies with broader business goals Support strategic initiatives and department-wide projects as assigned by leadership You have:

A minimum of 57 years of experience in loan collections or recovery, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role Proven experience managing a high-performing collections team in a commercial or financial services environment Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a confident approach to negotiation and conflict resolution Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet recovery targets Working knowledge of financial documents, business loan structures, and legal recovery processes Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with performance tracking tools Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field You may also have:

Experience managing complex or high-volume business loan portfolios Familiarity with debt collection laws, regulations, and compliance standards Exposure to regulated financial environments or legal recovery actions We offer:
